Criteria for CBC Membership

The CBC is open to levels of Membership: Corporate Membership and Individual Membership.

Corporate full membership is open to Canadian companies established in the U.A.E., and which either have Canadian shareholding or ultimate Canadian ownership and/or management. (Valid for 2 members)

Individual full membership is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada who are senior members and/or professionals of either Canadian or non-Canadian entities established in the U.A.E.

If you do not qualify for the above Full Membership levels, the CBC also has an Associate Membership category.

Associate membership are individuals or companies who carry on, as a major business, an agency, distributorship, franchise or other representation for a Canadian business, or a joint venture or management contract with a Canadian business, or a business which is managed or operated substantially by Canadian professionals, or which otherwise has a special nexus with the Canadian business community.

In all such cases, however, the application must be accompanied by a written request from the concerned individual or company requesting the Executive Committee to consider its application for Associate Membership. If requested by the Executive Committee, the applicant shall provide an outline of its overall business operations paying particular regard to the proportion of its activities that are related to the promotion/sale of goods or services originating in Canada.

Membership Types & Fees

Full Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership
Corporate membership is open to Canadian companies established in the UAE, which have Canadian shareholding or ultimate ownership and/or management, as well as companies with a vested interest in doing business with Canada.

Corporate Membership is valid for 2 members AED 2250
Additional Corporate Members AED 500/person

Full Individual Membership
Individual membership is open to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada who are senior members and/or professionals of either Canadian or non-Canadian entities established in the UAE, or individuals with a vested interest in doing business with Canada.

Individual Membership is valid for 1 member AED 1250

Offshore Membership
Offshore membership is open to Individuals or companies who would otherwise be qualified to be Full Members but are located outside of the UAE. Corporate Membership is valid for 2 members AED 1125
