OpenText: Information reimagined Information is the heartbeat of every organization. We build information management software so you can build the future.
Our story
Founded in 1991, OpenText grew out of a partnership between the University of Waterloo and Oxford University to create the first online Oxford English Dictionary. Our initial product pioneered searching every word on every web page. Since then, we’ve grown into a top-ten global software company that delivers innovation and value to organizations of all sizes.
Who we are
OpenText powers and protects information to give organizations the information advantage. We sit at the center of connected ecosystems, the internet of clouds, and play a critical role as our customers adopt cloud, security, and AI. We help transform knowledge workers and elevate human potential.
What we do
We help organizations reimagine information to elevate human potential with information management. Our solutions connect knowledge with action to spur innovation and growth. Information management delivers the intelligence, insight, and confidence that can only come from being data driven.
What we believe
OpenText harnesses the power of technology for the greater good. We believe in transparency, ethical business conduct, and accountability. We are creating an ethnically diverse workforce and gender parity. And we commit to reducing emissions by 50% and zero-waste to landfill from operations by 2030.
